Ever since the monster was sealed away, I've been running all over the place,
and I've finally got a handle on how bad things really are.
The humans no longer have the strength left to rebuild or maintain their civilization.
For the handful who managed to survive, their only path forward is
to keep passing on the fragile spark of life to the next generation, and the one after that.
Since they've lost their advanced means of transportation,
I've decided to step in and guide the people who survived here in Sunreach.
But before that, there's something I must do…

Even now, trapped inside the seal, that beast continues to feast on the World Tree.
It may be millennia before that second coming, but it will inevitably come.
