Mutation

Mutation is a new mechanic where breeding has a low chance of producing a Pal stronger than the normal breeding result. Pals born from mutated eggs have higher stats and a unique passive skill.

We've also added new cakes with special effects:

  • TitemiconfoodCake02Mushroom Cake: Slightly increases the likelihood that newly born Pals will have higher stats.
  • TitemiconfoodCake03Vegetable Cake: Produces two Pal Eggs at once.
  • TitemiconfoodCake04Extravagant Vegetable Cake: Increases the likelihood of mutations and makes stat growth more likely.
  • TitemiconfoodCake05Special Cake: Increases the chance of inheriting multiple passive skills from Pal parents.

Mutations will make Pal breeding more involved and exciting for players who want to raise the ultimate Pal!

Mutation Eggs are their own system

Mutation Eggs don't just hatch better versions of the parents, parent pairs produce completely different Alpha species with:

  • Very high IVs
  • Always Alpha pal
  • Always hatch at 2 star condensation
  • New rainbow passives (always 2-4 rainbows)

So mutations appear to be an entirely separate breeding mechanic.

So far, I’ve had TIceHorseDarkiconnormalFrostallion Noct and TLegendDeericonnormalHartalis produce 8 TDomeArmorDragoniconnormalAegidron and 1 TGhostDragonFireiconnormalEidrolon Ignis. All IV's were re-rolled between 91-100, from pure 100 parents. In my experience theres maybe a 5-10% Mutated Egg spawn rate from normal cakes, I haven't tried the TitemiconfoodCake04Extravagant Vegetable Cake mutation boosting cakes yet.

New rainbow passives

These are new passives that did not exist before 1.0. They seem to come primarily from Mutated Eggs, often alongside Alpha status, high IVs and two starting condensation stars.

Some of the new mutation-only passives I’ve personally hatched include:

  • Immortality
    • Life Steal +5%
    • Pal Auto Health Regeneration Rate +100%
    • Attack +15%
  • Idiosyncratic
    • Pal and Player Auto Health Regeneration Rate +50%
    • Defense +25%
    • Immune to Poison Damage
    • Immune to Burn Damage
  • Babysitter: While at a base, increases egg production speed by +30% and incubation speed by +30% for Pals assigned to a Breeding Farm.
  • Heavily Armored: Immune to Explosion Damage
  • Lightfooted: Mounted Jump Count +1
  • Skymarcher: Mounted Jump Count +2
